Hi everyone! I would just like to introduce myself. My name is Denise and I am from Philadelphia. My husband and I just adopted our first greyhound last week and we absolutly love her. She is almost 2 years old and raced 12 times down in Daytona before the rescuse group got her. I just love her to death. In fact, we are going to look at bringing home friend for her on Saturday. I can see how these hounds are addicting. I'm hoping to make so friends on her and learn more about how to take care of my new baby(ies)! :)

Since we have brought her home, I am just amazed by the people we have talked to that have absolutly no idea that they an even be pets. The lack of information is disheartening. I am hoping to spread the word with everyone I meat about what wonderful companions these dogs make.

Congratulations and :welcome2 to greytalk! It's the best. Yes, greyhounds are definitely addictive. Once you have one, you wonder why you can't have another! And you wonder why it took you so long to get one in the first place. :lol You and your new hound getting out and about for walks, etc. will help spread the word and educate others about what great pets they are. :)

Welcome from Lower Delaware. We are taking our dogs to NGAP tomorrow for boarding. I am not sure that is where you are adopting your dogs from.

Thanks, everyone! Yes, we adopted through NGAP. I fond them online and we then visited during the picinic they had a few weeks back. Thats when we met Thyme and I fell in love with her instantly. Evryone at NGAP has been great so far. We are hoping to stop by tomorrow afternoon and visit a boy we want to adopt. We will bring Thyme along to see if they are a good match. I was hoping to let her stretch her legs in the run they have, but it is supposed to be over 100 degress tomorrow :( so that probably won't happen. I will try to post some pictures... :)

Welcome, Thyme is so cute. She sounds like a greyt greyhound ambassador.
