krissn333
Pinky has eaten an entire can before She has hyperkeratosis secondary to lupus. When I dremel her nails, I dremel the overgrowth on her pads as well. She gets Bag Balm and socks on Sundays . The overgrowth doesnt seem to bother her at all, but, because it grows OUT sideways from the pads, it can make doing nails difficult...so I keep it filed back as much as I can. BauersMom
what has your vet said about his pads? When we first had him look at the pads, they were all cut up - and since he was a mess of infected pyoderma on his skin, we just assumed that it would resolve once he got somewhere out of the sand, etc. I haven't brought him back in yet, but he has an appt to go back for a recheck and I'll have them looked at again. BauersMom
So after much back and forth with the vet and trying various things... I decided to have a pad biopsied. It came back as ulcerative pododermatitis. Lots of inflammation/pus but no signs of an infection. Has anyone dealt with this before? The good news is his VF titer came back too low to measure!
