TheFullHouse
Have you checked for corns? I know that sounds dumb but a lot of people don't think of that. The other thing I can think of is have they checked the disc's in the lower portion of the back, towards the tail. My girl Heart has a bulging disc at the base of her tail that is causing lameness in her rear leg. It causes pain, like sciatica. OwnedBySummer
If it's not corns, then I also suggest looking at the back and hips. I would have him checked out by a dog chiropractor. Quote Lisa B. Sambuca
My foster dog has tendonitis in both shoulders. Is there an orthopedic specialist near you?

Guest UESBrindle
William was limping a while back and I took him to 2 different orthopedic specialists to figure out what's wrong. He was ultimately diagnosed with Biceps Tenosynovitis and possibly something else, but that would be diagnosed only with a CAT scan, and it's not too bad for him. He received steroid injections into his joints twice, and takes Deramax when his limping is particularly bad (although he's usually fine when he walks on grass). He's also limped when he stepped on tiny pieces of glass a few times when we lived in the city - his paw pads were not as tough and would occasionally get some stuck and we'd have to do warm water/salt soaks a few times a day until they came out. Good luck. Edited July 12, 2011 by UESBrindle
Guest A3greymom
I know it isn't corns I will check out some of the other options other than bulging disc we have excluded that through xrays as well Thanks for all the responses
turbotaina
Did you squeeze each toe to check for corns? Turbo would get them and they would start hurting before they were even visible. As someone who spent more than $3k to eventually get a corn diagnoses, I say, start with the feet Quote Meredith with Heyokha (HUS Me Teddy) and Crow (Mike Milbury).
