macoduck
Has anyone tried Dr Dodds' new test, Nutriscan Diagnostics, for food allergy testing? I've read over the info on her site, www.hemopet.org , however I am unable to get anyone on the phone or via email since last week to ask questions. When I take Gracie in tomorrow for her yearly testing, I want to ask my vet if he will do this saliva test on Pudge let mutt. I am unsure how the saliva sample is gathered (swab?) and would like to be ready for any questions he has about this new test. Do I mail the completed order form myself? Do I give it to my vet to include in the sample shipment along with the payment? If I order the test online, how can I be assured that they match my payment with the incoming sample? Editing to update: Hemopet just called. They will be sending me the test kit and I can mail it back myself without taking Pudge to the vet. Poor Pudge has been itchy for years. Vet has tried assorted meds but they only make her sick. Benedryl and Zyrtec had little affect. I do not want to try the food my vet is suggesting without at least trying Dr Dodds' test first to make sure it is indeed a food allergy, rather than "general grass allergies". Guest Cara_Lea
Please update us on how this goes. Choo has a lot of food sensitivities and if this test can help us figure them out, that would be amazing.

Guest PiagetsMom
Yes, please update. Mirage obviously has some allergies/sensitivity issues and at his last vet visit the dr. told me that it's a real challenge to find the problem - pretty much a process of elimination that can take a while. I'd definitely be interested in how this works for Pudge.
Guest june
What a wonderful thing this is. It can help so many dogs with allergies, not just greys. Can't wait to hear more about it. Exciting. june
