Guest Baloos_Mom Posted November 7, 2010 Share Posted November 7, 2010 I cannot believe I am here again posting about another one of my babies. I have had one horrific year to say the least. This past week Dylan has been going downhill and if I am honest...probably started this last decline with losing Baloo in August...he was still taking 20 mg of pred every day and Friday he didn't even lift his head when I pet him that morning. When I made his breakfast and called to him, he ran upstairs to hide....NOT Dylan. I went upstairs and picked him up to cuddle in bed with me...now down to just 56 lbs again....he wouldn't look me in the eyes and didn't really respond to me much at all....I knew he was done fighting...he has been fighting hard for the past 2 years and it was obvious that he was just done. When he first got sick 5 years ago, I hoped for at least 6 months of retirement and good living for him....for 3 years he had a greyt life and then got sick again and after the second setback I said I would fight as long and as hard as he wanted to...but when he lost that sparkle in his eyes, I knew it was time. I am absolutely devestated to have lost both my babies in just a two month time span. It still seems surreal that Baloo is gone...and now Dyl too. My babies!
