Guest FreddyGirl Posted September 18, 2010 Share Posted September 18, 2010 Since the winter, Bobbi has had more difficutly walking due to issues with her front left shoulder, as well as compressed discs in her neck. I was able to accommodate her by adding a ramp off of the deck, laying rubber backed runners throughout the first floor, and "walking" her in her chariot. She has also had accupuncture every 2 weeks. Unfortunately, for 2 weeks, the pain she has been experiencing from this shoulder necessitated pain meds 24/7 as well as a course of Prednisone. She has been tripodding, placing too much strain on her compromised weak end. I knew on Monday that today was fast approaching. I love her too much to keep her with me as her body failed in front of my eyes and quality of life deteriorated. So today, in her beloved van, in my arms, with her pack nearby, as well as Auntie Robin, Uncle Rich and their pack, she crossed the bridge. She was with me a short three years and two weeks. My heart is shattered and I am sick thinking about her not being here to bark at me for walks, smushing her food with her nose and flipping her dog bowls. How do I go through each day not looking into the most gorgeous brown eyes, kissing her soft face and missing my baby girl, my Sweat Pea, My Honey Bunny, my Bobbi Doodles? The only consolation is that she is now pain free, with her sister Polli and waiting for me. Godspeed my Precious Angel, Princess Bobbi. Remember that "No one loves you like your mama, except Auntie Robin and Uncle Rich." Keep an eye on mommy, Freddy, Molly and Corey because we will be lost without you.
