heartdogs Posted September 7, 2010 Share Posted September 7, 2010 Our "fuzzy boy" made it ti 15 but let Laura & Jerry know that his time had come. Grouch was Chow/Greyhound cross that was dumped in town with his full grey brother when they were about 3-4 months old. He was the protector of the ranch after Blitzen (GSD) went to the bridge years ago & true to his Chow side he was good at his job. My tiny girl Ebony was his best girl until the end. All greys were welcome, fosters or those that stayed but he really liked puppies & was so gentle with them. The one wild animal he really enjoyed was opossums! He would carry baby ones around & guard them until they wandered off. It is so hard to say good bye but he had a very good life & was well loved by all. When I'd go up to the ranch he was always happy to see me even if I had to give him meds or take him to the vet. It will be very strange not to have him come running to my car any more.
