Please Hope For A Miracle

Our darling and beloved nine year old lady has had on and off lameness for several months. It would go away after a few hours, and then return here and there. Just about the time I'd start to worry, she'd be fine for a week. It's in her rear, around the knee, and there's no evidence or sign of an ACL injury. The past three days her entire demeanor has slowly changed and she's totally non weight bearing as of tonight. There is a hard lump at the site. We are devastated and terrified. Myself, my friend here on this board, and our other friend all have fostered her, loved her, lived with her, showered her with attention, trips to the beach, and the best life can offer. She's even tried NOTRA and gone back in the ring for a veterans competition. She's had her share of cheeseburgers, and she's spent hours upon hours at the pier with me soaking up love, attention, and sunshine.

Please hope for a miracle... she goes to the vet tomorrow if we can get in- Thursday at the absolute latest. We will not be doing an amp if it is osteo. Her early life was not the best, but since her rescue, she has been as happy and spoiled as any hound could ever be. Please, please let her have more time... let it be nothing... she is on pain control, and will be as long as needed. I will update when I can. She is at our friend's house which is a couple hours away and close to the best vet to take her to.

Here she is (the black and white on the left) with my son and my sweet big male Borzoi.

Thank you. She so deserves it. She was starved and neglected to the point I can't even talk about it here without violating TOS. And now she has a wonderful life and we all love her so much. And now this? It just can't be.
