Hi-

Recently I have heard from quite a few friends who have lossed a Beloved Greyhound Soul.

My heart and sympathy are with all of you going through a most difficult time. I only pray you are surrounded by those who care and who understand.

I thought I'd share these words I wrote over a decade ago after the loss of my Beloved Whippet "Scottie". It's titled "A Message From Heaven". I hope these words may bring some comfort. -Kevin Z.

A Message From Heaven

Although I could not speak to you, one look into my eyes should have told you how much I loved you.

I understood and was thankful for everything you did to keep me with you but it was time for me to go on.

To those who say animals have no soul, I tell you this is not so.

There exists a very special place for us in Heaven.

We were created to share with you our love and knowledge, Unconditionally.

The reason you miss me so is because of that Love.

I never judged you but was always there to love you when you needed me.

I hope I have taught you well.

If you search, you will understand just how much you have learned about yourself from me.

Thank you for your love and for your home.

Please, don't cry, but know I am with you Always, in your heart. by Kevin Z. 1997

It's so beautiful...I did learn a lot about myself from Bailey, especially how compassionate I am. Thank you sharing your wonderful poem.

Yes, Kevin, thank you so much for posting this!

This is a particularly difficult time of year for me. I lost my husband, Bob, Sept. 15, 2002, to cancer, and this time, eight years ago, I was doing his soul care. Without my Bold Energy (first greyhound), I know I could never had gotten throught it.

Through Energy, I learned to love again, ... and opened my life to another human (current DH), and seven other greyhounds, two seniors. In ALL of them, including my "original" five, lives a part of Energy. My life totally changed, the day Energy died ... it totally changed my priorities.

Sending love and hugs to all of those who have lots a loved one, ...
