krissn333 Posted August 18, 2010 Share Posted August 18, 2010 (edited) I just got a call from my friends David and Eva, who adopted Ace and Fritz's littermate brother and sister (Khan and Indy, formerly known as Funky and Faith). They had to let Khan go this morning Last night he started seizing uncontrollably (he has no prior seizure history). They rushed him to the e-vet, where he was pumped full of valium and they gave him phenobarb. He continued to seize violently through the night. The e-vet just could not get it under control. They went to see him this morning and let him go. Indy/Faith is beside herself. She doesn't want to eat, hasn't greeted them at the door, doesn't want to play, doesn't want to cuddle (she's a big cuddle hound). David and Eva have done nothing but cry today - neither one of them could go in to work. These dogs are their babies, they do not have human children. The vet believes that Khan probably had some sort of brain tumor or aneurysm. They aren't equipped with MRI equipment there, so they couldn't do that in order to be sure, but, Khan was just not himself anyway, it was time to set him free. RIP buddy, your mom, dad, and sister miss you terribly.
