Remolacha Posted August 11, 2010 Share Posted August 11, 2010 My old man has been day to day for several weeks now, and today was the day He was diagnosed with that bane of old cats, kidney disease, a little over two years ago, plus he had some kitty Alzheimer's, but he had been doing well until recently. He has been with me for 15 years, a beautiful black cat with fine, soft, silky fur and intense green eyes. When I was looking for a cat, I went to a no-kill shelter that had a cat room with cats wandering around. He came up to me, stood up and put his front paws on my legs, and said "pick me! pick me!" So, of course I did He was very vocal and we have had many conversations over the years. He loved other cats, the dogs not so much, but he tolerated them.
