I'm taking Miles to the vet as soon as they open. He has had diarrhea about once an hour from 6pm to 2am he is drinking water and his gums are wet so he is not badly dehydrated. Now his guts are screaming. Should I give him a little bit of his Gastro food or fast him until we go to the vet?

Fast. Hope it's just a quick virus and he'll be better asap.

I, personally, don't fast. I don't like having all that excess stomach acid, which causes more upset.

If he were my dog, I'd give a little PLAIN yogurt, and a Pepcid AC, and of course, take him into the vet. I know there is some type of intestional virus going around, too. Hoping he feels better soon!

Good Luck.

Hope your baby feels better.

Funny story, Rose had that problem recently (screaming guts--I know exactly the sound you mean!). DBF's daughter said it sounded like she swallowed the cat! tongue.gif
