Thank god you got her out of there when you did. She at least knew the joys of a soft couch and people who loved her, even if for a short time. Please tell Dylan that Katie will wait for him at Rainbow Bridge and someday they will cross together. He also saved her from a long, painful death -- God bless his heart... she is his dog forever, it's just hard because he can't see her any more. What an awful hard lesson for someone so young and newly in love with a Greyhound. For Katie, death was just a doorway to go through to a beautiful newly healthy body and life-- though I am sure she did not want to leave him so soon. Someday in the future, when his heart has healed a bit -- I am sure she would want him to give another greyhound a loving home As a Tribute to her precious memory.
