As many times as I sit here and read of all the love that was shared, the grief and pain over losing a piece of your heart, I guess. I am so sorry, Heather. What is it about these special girlie hounds who step into, no, run into, around and through our lives leaving their indelible prints on our souls and hearts. We are blessed with their presence, their acceptance and their unconditional love. We know as surly as the sun will rise in the morning that we will only have these hearthounds for a finite period of time. We know that we will surly have to say goodbye and suffer the pain of loss. We do it anyway, knowing that sadness will come and there is nothing we can do to stop it. But that loss, that pain, is the price we pay for love. A price that is so well worth the pain.
