Neyla Osteo Update

Recommended Posts

Wednesday was 2 months post osteo dx so I took her in for an x-ray to check the progression. We've been doing some supplements including artemisinin and I wanted to see whether anything might be working. The oncolgist's response today was that there was "a startling lack of progression in 2 months" and that he didn't note any significant changes b/w the x-rays!! :yay:bounce2:offwall:clap

She is still not in pain either, and is happy and playful. :yay

My oncologist thinks this is evidence it may not be osteo, but Dr. Couto had no doubt that it was and 2 other oncologists confirmed that dx based on the original x-ray so to me it's just evidence that something is working, or Neyla's cancer is just particularly slow progressing, or both. :dunno I sent the emails off to Dr. Couto too so we'll see what he says. My oncologist isn't particularly into the holistic stuff so it doesn't surprise me that the idea that what we're doing could be working wasn't his first thought.

What good news indeed! My Jack had a slow growing type of osteo. He had 6 months of very high quality life after diagnosis during which it was possible to keep him virtually pain free.

Fantastic! GO NEYLA

Winslow's oncologist said that even though he doesn't have prove that supplements work, he also doesn't have proof that they don't work.

:nod I'm a believer for sure.

Jen, this is fantastic news! For a very long time we really still (even after doing the FNA) had no true diagnosis with Sutra. But, the FNA did not suspect anything but types of cancer (no infections or anything like that), so, I've always been pretty sure. But, thankfully, Sutra's has been very slow progressing. It has been almost 3 months since his diagnosis. If Neyla's issue IS osteo, it sounds like it's very slow moving and you will have a good amount of time with her. There WILL be ups and downs. There have been a few days where I was worried it might be time for Sutra, and then he bounces back. :dunno Hang in there. This is happy news :)
