Last night, my boyfriend and I officially became parents to a beautiful, 3-year-old Greyhound girl who we named "Junebug." We got her through Greyhounds Only, in the Chicago IL area. She comes from Dairyland Race Track in Kenosha, WI. We'd been discussing and saving for a dog for over a year, and went to a couple of Meet 'n' Greet events to learn more about the Greyhound breed. We met Bug there, and well... it was love at first sight! Our adoption process has been wonderful, and we really found a caring community with all the local Greyhound owners. Most of all, we're thrilled with our beautiful dog! She is such a love... and such a good girl... Our foster mom / adoption rep recommended I check out this site. I remember you "Bug" is settling wonderfully into our place (right now, she's sacked out in the middle of the bedroom carpet, after a nice walk...) She already recognizes her bed, and she slept through the night last night... Even with the thunderstorms! She's eating normal amounts, and generally seems very calm and content. If our first 48 hours with her are any indication, she's going to be a wonderful dog! Thanks everyone for the kind welcome I'm loving "mommyhood"...
