I would bet that your pup isn't hypothyroid at all. You would need to check the FT4 and the TSH. Most hounds that are supplemented are only done so because their T4 came back

low--99% of all GH's tested will come back with low T4's. And FYI--0.5 mgs does not sound unreasonable for an average GH.

Well, we are doing the tests. The vet was surprised because she said she's never had anyone agree to the more expensive testing... so that's why she didn't even say anything about it. Oh well, live and learn. And that's why I have GT :)
