Peanut Has Osteo-How Can We Do This Again?

Beth...I'm so incredibly sorry...the same thing happened to our Cricket. Her initial set of x-rays showed nothing and we were so relieved.

We tried acupuncture as well as a chiropractor and when she wasn't getting any better we took her to a specialist who did a second set of x-rays and there it was. sad.gif Our hearts sank....

Osteo is a sneaky SOB and takes way too many of our precious babies.

My heart is breaking for you.....I wish there was something more that I can say to ease your pain.

Sending you gentle hugs from NJ. grouphug.gif

I'm looking at my baby girl today and can feel my broken heart breaking all over again. She has always been our joyful, live life to the fullest kind of girl. How do we say goodbye to such an amazing spirit?

And how in the world will we live in a house without any greyhounds? How empty and lonely it will be. She's still here for now, but the hole in my heart is vast already. I hate this disease more than anything.

My heart dropped to my stomach and tears came to my eyes as soon as I saw the title of the thread. :cry1

Beth, you know that my heart feels your pain. I couldn't believe when I read the subject. It's a nightmare that we can't wake up from.

I haven't recovered from Pearl and Diamond yet, and to see that you're going thru the same thing is just breaking my heart.

Pete and I have talked and talked and feel that we'll say our final goodbye tomorrow. Having Peanut hang on any longer with a fractured shoulder would be selfish and for our benefit only. She is very painful and it's much worse since even yesterday. I am grateful that we had 10 good weeks with her-even though we didn't know they would be our last. I am still so numb and yet heartbroken at the same time. Tonight she'll have a steak and all the Burpdogs she can handle. Tomorrow we'll sit at the park if she is able and get ice cream one last time. For now, she is out on her outside bed, covered up and enjoying her very favorite thing-an afternoon nap on our deck.

Please, please keep Peanut in your prayers-we just want a peaceful, loving passing for her.
