Guest Merindamike
Hi My Bitch has recently given birth to 8 puppies (March 24th) and the little darlings are crawling a peeing eveywhere-always after i have changed their paper !! The bitch has taken to rubbing herself against the neighbour's gypsophila plant/bush. She does this and gets enjoyment as her back leg comes up and she sometimes almost squats with her hind quaters trembling. Can anyone explain this to me or have any ideas please? Thanks
DocsDoctor
This is not uncommon behaviour in greyhounds - mine chooses the topiarised yew bush in the garden, which is hard so presumably feels rather like being rubbed down with a rough towel! Some enjoy it so much that they send themselves off into a little trance - more information here. Guest Merindamike
Thanks for that, very informative. I did however give the wrong name for the plant, it is a Grevillea plant. It must still have the same effect though. Thanks.
