macdaddy Posted March 25, 2010 Share Posted March 25, 2010 My dear sweet,sweet Dessi past away last night...it was very sudden and unexpected...she had displayed no signs of sickness or pain or weakness...in fact yesterday was a perfectly normal day in every way...we got up around 6a.m. she and Mac and foster brother Opa went out to pee and sniff..came in and the kidz all had some liver brownie treats while I had coffee and got dressed..we went for our morning walk..came back ..she ate her regular breakfast...laid around the house all day ...went for another longer walk around 4p.m....she kept up just fine sniffed and peed with the others...everything was just fine enjoyed her regular walk..came back..she ate her dinner just fine...around 6 we were to go out for dinner...put foster Opa in his crate with Dessi and Mac on their pads on either side of him and everybody baby gated in the breakfast nook/dog room..we came home at 8 to find Dessi dead on her pad...there was no sign of a struggle or distress...other than her eyes being open it looked like she just laid down and went to sleep and drifted off... Needless to say we're kinda numb..I knew going in that time would be limited when I adopted a retired broodie but she was only with us for around 18 months or so...she was daddy's little girl...my little snuggle bunny..and she'll be so missed...gotta go now..can't see to type any more...damn those allergies Quote Dogs and small children are the only people I really get along with....MacDaddy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
