Lisa,

Keeping you and Roscoe in my thoughts!

This may make you feel a little better... we had a lab come into the clinic about 2 weeks ago with neck swelling about twice the size of Roscoe's! It was her salivary gland and we did surgery on Tuesday to remove it and she is doing very well today. I hope Roscoe's is something just as benign!!!

Hugs!

Ramping up the white light and healing thoughts for Roscoe. I'll be checking in over the weekend but most likely won't be able to post, but will definately be keeping him close to my heart and hoping for improvement or an easy remedy/solution to his problem. Leaving you with a super dooper big hug, grouphug.gifLisagrouphug.gif

Well.. I picked Roscoe up from the specialist at about 6:00. The Dr sedated him and he had an ultrasound, biopsies and an endoscop-something or other. *sigh* Unfortunately the Dr is very worried about one of the masses which is large and shows up dark on the ultrasound. He said he doesn't want to say for sure because he wants to see what the biopsy results are (next week..) but he's leaning toward 2 possibilities. One being that it is an inflammation of a limphnode (can't spell right now) or salivary gland, or a tumor. Out of the 2, he's leaning further toward a tumor. So.... I asked "What happens if it's a tumor??" He said it depends on what kind of tumor/cancer it is. Because it's popped up so quickly, it's quite aggressive. In his experience, aggressive cancers in the neck area = not good.

I'm keeping it together fairly well right now. Still trying to be positive.. ha! Cancer? Nope, no way. Things like that don't happen to me! Not my dog! He's not even 5 years old....

I don't know. I have the headache from hell. I've had it all day and made it worse when I had a little melt-down about an hour ago.

Roscoe on the otherhand, seems to be quite pleased to be home, and have a belly full of cheese.

This must be very hard. I'll be sending positive thoughts your way that is just a little swelling. In the meantime, be sure to take care of yourself as well. Hang in there.

I hope you get some rest, and tomorrow Roscoe shows signs of improving. In my heart I pray it is inflammation that the amoxicillin will start to work on.

We are here for you if you need us.

Lisa, I'm so sorry for all you and Roscoe are going through. I hope it's just a blocked salivary gland. Hope your headache goes away, I get those too and know how it feels. :grouphug:hope:candle

Oh Lisa, came here to find out if there was an update and just read your last post. I have been thinking of you and Roscoe today :candle Keeping my fingers crossed that it's just a salivary gland issue and not a tumor. :goodluck:candle:goodluck:candle:goodluck
