That does not mean that you have to enjoy or support the killings, but you might as well get used to the fact that they will happen. Mine has numerous kills, as we live in a semi-rural setting. As for it escalating to going after small dogs. I doubt that it will become an issue. Cats, on the other hand, as others have stated will probably be on your dogs radar.
