Guest jfroggirl76
We just noticed that our soon to be 4 year old girl Piper is having difficulty when she goes to get up from laying down. She never raced due to being severely bowed legged. Anyway we have a vet apt on Saturday but I have Glucosamine Chondroition from our 16yr old dog who passed away and I can't for the life of me remember the correct dosage to give. P.S. I do give her fish supplements.
EllenEveBaz
I think the usual advice given for most greyhounds, including those at your girl's weight, is to start out at 1,500 mg per day. As you will remember, it often takes 4-8 weeks to show any results. If it seems to be helping, you can try decreasing amount to 1,000 mg per day. A vet visit sounds good. 4 years sounds young to have significant arthritis.
