Guest happygrey
Well, our poor guy has roundworms. Yick! The vet said that the stool test showed that he had a "significant amount" of them. (And, ugh, after giving him his first Interceptor yesterday, we've already seen a bunch on our walks today. ) Anyway, I just gave him the Strongid the vet prescribed and I'm wondering if anyone who's BTDT can tell me what to expect. Should we be planning on multiple overnight potty trips? How does this usually play out? And how long does it last? Ick.
Guest KennelMom
Plan not to eat spaghetti for a while I've never wormed an adult dog with roundworms, but when we wormed the pups born here over the summer most of the worms came out in the first 24 hours and then trickled out in smaller amounts over a few days. Didn't have near as many with the subsequent wormings. It was one of the most disgusting things I've seen. I was really glad DH was on on evening duty with the pups b/c he had to clean up the worst of it (but he did take pics ) Edited February 9, 2010 by KennelMom
Guest happygrey
Plan not to eat spaghetti for a while No kidding! Pasta's off the menu for a while. Here's what DH said this AM when he went out with Tatam, "I think he's got worms. There was something that looked liked a ramen noodle on one of them." Can't wait to see what a significant amount of roundworms look like coming out of a 70 pound grey.
