Captain David M. Brown Of The Shuttle

I was reading the copy of Bark I received at the Greyhound Gathering and this caught my eye:

"We are dedicating this issue to Captain David M. Brown, one of the astronauts who died in the shuttle Columbia disaster. His love for dogs was noted poignantly in a New York Times obituary, 'Captain David Brown's closest companion was his 14-year old dog, Duggins, who died two days before the shuttle lifted off.' We trust that this American hero and his best friend have been reunited."

Maybe I'm a little too sentimental , but I shed a tear or two over this and am reminded how amazing grace is sometimes.

That is so sad but also at the same time very heart warming that his buddy was waiting for him in heaven :) I know it wouldn't be heaven if my pets wern't there to be with me.

I'm still saddened by the Columbia tragedy, this makes it even sadder. But also sort of bittersweet. They are together again.

This is very sad...but I'm glad his best friend was there to welcome him.
