It was exactly 7 years and 2 months since the day that I brought her home. She became my constant companion. I can't begin to say how much she taught me and how much she means to me. All that I know is that I had the best friend and unconditional love that someone can ever hope for. I don't know how to live without her. Everything seems meaningless right now, The thought of going home and her not being there is more than I can handle. Downey, my sweetheart, I hope that your sister met you at the bridge and that you are running and playing, pain free, cancer free and happy. I hope that I made your life as wonderful as you made mine. You will never be forgotten or replaced. I love you my sweet. I hope to see you again some day.
