These have not changed, except that the scabs are healing over. I have had her for four days, and per vet's advice, I put her on Cephalexin 500mg two times per day due to a cut in her ear (healing very well now) as well as these swollen areas, which we both thought were puncture wounds or bites of some sort. She came from Kansas, if that means anything (such as what could have bitten her, or whatever). She ran at Jacksonville before that. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what these could be. Pressure marks maybe? She has similar ones on her elbows, too, but not swollen.

Here are pics- front paw, and hock, respectively. Thanks!

By the way, they do not seem to cause her any pain, and they have no odor. She is happy, playful, and eats like a pig, and her temp is normal.

Considering they are on the side of joints....I, too, would wonder if they are some sort of pressure point from being kenneled perhaps? Maybe her kennel wasn't as cushioned as it should have been....or maybe sand and rubbing had something to do with it? :dunno

my old girl has some of those marks, she stopping being kenneled in july and she still has them i think they must be from laying on hard floors ( she never sleeps all the way on her beds) they are not painfull or infected dont worry too much just keep and eye on them.

I am glad it's probably nothing to worry over.

Will the swelling go down? That's the strange part to me!
