Guest karma98104 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Hello!! My vet no longer carries Advantix and I don't want to switch brands. I've heard that a lot of mail order flea meds are NOT safe, but I was wondering if anyone had any feedback regarding the Dr. Smith & fosters Catalog store? Thanks! Quote
Guest EmilyandSioux Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 It is safe. I use it all the time. Be careful of the price. If you use KVPet or Valley Vet they may be cheaper. It is the same product. You can also pick it up at Petsmart, or some feed stores carry it. It is all made by Bayer which has a large pet line. Quote
CaliforniaGreys Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Because of who those 2 vets are, I would say the product is very safe, however I've never had to use these products because of where I live. phall Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I buy many of my medications through Foster and Smith - I've been using them for several years now. Often, their prices are very, very good, although it's good to shop around a bit. I've never had a problem with anything I've ordered through them. Pat Quote

Guest karma98104 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 PHEW, thanks, I was beginning to worry I'd have to change vets just to get it. Dr. S&F are cheaper than my vet by far, too. Quote
Guest budsmom Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 I get my Frontline from them every year. They usually run a special on Flea/tick preventatives in February and have reduced shipping then also. I save about $25.00 ordering from them instead of my vet. I have never had an issue with anything I've ordered from them, from a floor to ceiling cat tree to Frontline, everything has been top quality and shipped quickly. Quote
