Guest mrsnonia Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I have a 12 year old male grey. The ball joint in one back hip has disintegrated and unfortunately he can't weight bear on that side anymore. We do accupuncture to help with his overall comfort, but it can't fix the problem. He does well running about on 3 legs. He's older though and he can't do that for as long as he could in the past. I would like an option so he can go for longer walks, go to the park, things like that. He's so healthy otherwise and he's got the energy to do things. Does anyone have a solution, wheels, or other option that works in situations like this? Quote
Guest mirthlesstroll Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 A friend of mine had wheels for an injured Grey - I'll find out where they got the cart from. Quote
Guest Energy11 Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 A friend of mine used a sling for her Grey, and she also traveled around in a Radio Flyer Red Wagon :-)) Some of you might remember Tory from Sandy Paws. Some of the others may have a source for the sling. Good Luck! Quote
brandimom Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I don't have any advice but just wanted to say what a great mom you are to your grey! Welcome and sorry this is your "post" introduction. Glad you joined us. Quote
Guest vahoundlover Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Lowes sells a great *garden* cart that is perfect for a greyhound to lay/sit up in and pull them around. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=214397-52314-TC4205F&lpage=none A picture I took at dewey Quote
