Devotion
keeping you all in our thoughts. What a goofy boy. I had to laugh and hard because my girl, Avril, does the same thing! She's had me fooled for 4 years and yep the same thing, she jumped right in my SUV when we were leaving from her radiation treatment. I was floored! Guest Energy11
I am glad you are doing the 24 hour monitoring. It really should give you answers! 92 pounds! My back! :-)) I actually ordered a stretcher from my former vet/employer in Florida. When Curfew had his presumed stroke 14 months ago, DH, who is on disability for his back, had to carry all 83 pounds of him/unconscious, to the van. We now have the stretcher. Good Luck, and sending lots of good thoughts and prayers to you and to Chase!

Because the monitor, wires and vest are limiting Chase's range of motion, he decided he couldn't do stairs last night, so Jason had to carry him up to bed. Thank goodness he could or I guess I would have been keeping Chase company on the couch. Quote ...............Chase (FTH Smooth Talker), Morgan (Cata), Reggie (Gable Caney), Rufus (Reward RJ). Guest MomoftheFuzzy
Chase having you do his "work" for the past couple years of lifting him and aiding him in getting into the car = he's smarter than all of us combined. Speck did the same thing to me, only it lasted 6 years! I know he had to be able to jump into the car, since he'd jump up on an ivy-covered hill in my old neighborhood or on the couch or bed occasionally but... somehow, he knew Mom would cave in everytime, even if it meant she had to sacrifice the well-being of her own vertabrae. I'm glad you guys are monitoring him, though I know it is stressful and it is hard to adjust to the machine/electrodes/vest, etc. He is so very lucky to have you guys: two parents who will do all this for him, just to make sure he has the best quality of life a dog can have. Wow. I'm getting a bit choked up now, thinking of how special he is and how he ended up with two extraordinarily special people in their own right. Please call or write if you need anything, even if it's just to vent. Superman-hound is going to be okay. I know it. Right now, he's just having to do the Clark Kent thing for a little while... EllenEveBaz
Chase is a smart cookie -- he knew that since he backslid on the car jump, he had to do something special with the stairs to remind you of his need for special care. Best of luck with the Holter monitor. TheFullHouse
It definitely sounds neurological in origin Tracey. Hopefully you can find out what's going on and get a treatment plan set in place for Chase. He will be in my prayers. Guest Energy11
Definitely sounding neuological. It could be MANY things. The only real way to detect brain abnormalities is an MRI. I really wanted Curfew to get one, but even at OSU, they run about $1200, and we just can't do it. Glad the long term EKG was normal. I hope you get to the bottom of Chase's episodes. I would keep a journal of EACH one, unless you already are, describing the symptoms as accurately as possible. Good Luck and lot of love from us! Guest Energy11
Yes, what you described, could definitely be causing the seizure-like activity. I got the email, and I will be eager to study it. The repeat ECG would be to compare the two. Curfew is on Enalapril 20 mg, for his blood pressure. Works great! You might want to send that report to Dr. Couto at OSU to see if he has any suggestions, as well. His email is: couto.1@osu.edu Love, hugs and good luck for you and Chase!
