Be sure to have a specialist look at the x-ray...I know our regular vet was 90% certain that an x-ray showed osteosarcoma, but a specialist determined it to be osteo-arthritis. That was years ago and the dog is still with us. Best wishes to you and River. Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. Thank you also for suggesting a specialist look at his Xrays... that's a very sound idea. We are leaving soon. I am numb with concern. He is such a fragile and sensitive boy, always has been. Just look at his expression (with Canyon, a year ago). Does anyone have Dr. Couto's contact info? Maybe I can send him the Xray if they think it's os.
