It's about a week since his 12th birthday. I'm nervous about this, even though he's in pretty good health. Has anyone here done this with a 12 year old dog? It's not so much the teeth or the lumps I'm concerned about, it's the anesthesia.

Well he's home but is sort of a basket case. He's panting like crazy, has four good size incisions from the lumps, and is not a happy camper. But he's home! Now to get him settled down a bit...

They gave you pain pills right? I hope he settles down soon :kiss2 sweet boy. Just out of curiosity, are they testing the lumps or were they fatty tumors?

Glad he is doing OK. Chelsa will be undergoing a similar procedure soon; she needs a tooth pulled and a small lump biopsied and/or removed (I will likely just have them remove it whether or not it is benign, since she will be under for the extraction anyways.)

Well, he's settled down, but he's so far from wanting to eat anything it's ridiculous. And he has like 7 pills to take among the antibiotics, tramadyl, derramax, and soloxine (with food, lol!) I'm letting him chill for a while before we start throwing pills down his throat. He doesn't seem to be in bad pain anyway.
