Been Up Since 2am With Him...

I just feel so helpless. The mast cell tumor has just been getting bigger and bigger but tonight it's driving him crazy. Gave him Tramadyl a couple of hours ago. He's been panting hard since 3am, but at least he's stopped getting up and moving around (it's 4:47am). His whole foot looks like a club-foot.

Just needed to vent. Feeling a little crazy from lack of sleep! Wondering if it's almost time to say goodbye... :(

I feel for you. In my opinion when it seems like it difficult for comfort measures to work then it very well may be time to set him free from pain. It's a gut wrenching decision but it must be done to keep our precious babes from suffering. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. Hang in there.

Praying for all the missing greys!

Only you can decide but you must put his needs first however much it hurts. Rather a day too soon than a day too long for our precious hounds. Sending you strength to get through this and comforting thoughts to help you along.

I am so sorry to see you & your pup going through this. It is overwhelming to see them feeling ill and uncomfortable. My thoughts will be with you.

Prayers and hugs coming from here, as well!

As one person already said, only YOU can decide, but if your baby is really suffering ... might be "time." ALWAYS sooo hard to make that decision!

Sometimes you have to trade the pain in their bodies for the pain you will have in your heart for letting them go.

It does sound like you both had a very rough night and for that I am sorry :(

Nights always seem harder than the days, in my experience. No idea why, it just is. I hope the daylight brought some comfort...

How very true. Always heartbreaking, never easy. Sending prayers to you both.
