AstasMinion
Asta had her annual wellness exam plus a round of shots yesterday, and afterward -- through the afternoon and evening -- she needed to relieve herself many more times than is typical. I was surprised by the sheer volume of the output (piddling only), too. She did need to go out EARLY this a.m., but as far as I know she didn't go out overnight. Things seem to have settled down. I'm not worried. Her appetite and energy are good, and she seems just fine. But I don't remember her reacting that way to her shots in the past. Wondering if others have had that experience? SAVED2
They dont like the vets---needles and strange people holding them on a cold table-- takes a few hours for them to calm down.
Batmom
Could be as SAVED2 says. Could also be that they gave her antihistamine/antiinflammatory before the shots? I've not heard of anyone doing that as a matter of course; we do it for Zema because she gets has some reaction to most shots, and it does make her pee a bit more than normal. Guest Energy11
Yes, could be a slight vaccination reaction... I'd give 50 mg of Benedryl and a Deramaxx or Rimadyl if you have them. Good luck on this! D
GeorgeofNE
How many vaccinations did she get? My vet prefers to space them out. She may have been nervous, and had a lot to drink when you got home.
