Guest FullMetalFrank Posted May 17, 2009 Share Posted May 17, 2009 Hi Robin, we just got home from Chelsa's coursing trials and the first thing I did after getting the dogs settled in was check on Loca! I am glad she is doing better as far as her lymph nodes swelling; but sorry to hear about the arthritis. I am probably asking a redundant question, but is Loca on supplements for arthritis, i.e. glucosamine/chondroitin/msm? If not they really can work wonders; it takes time but it does help. As far as her appetite, the pain meds can definately suppress that, and I hope she does better with the appetite stimulants (what exactly did they give her?) Michelle has "dropped the ball" on a few things...Adrian corrected Michelle's mess ups (almost all for free) and took care of Freeway better than Michelle ever did. Dr. Strioa is a good vet. It is too bad he is at that clinic b/c we would continue to see him for our boys if he wasn't employed by Michelle. I hope Loca is eating her way thru a whole bag of food...just like the good ol' days! yeah, he had me walk her down the hallway to check out her gait, etc. he addressed my concerns about her pain and discomfort walking and went over the xrays that michele took several weeks ago. he checked out her stance, also. i left feeling good about her progress and felt like i understood what was going on with her. i feel like if everything had been explained earlier i could have saved myself lots of panic. loca is eating about 1/2 - 3/4 meals a day but she is going for short walks and she wagged her little tail today, so things are on the mend .
