heartdogs
Due to Noelle medical problems she has not been spayed & at 2-1/2 yrs old she has come into heat for the first time. I haven't had an intact female since 1977 so I've forgotten what it's like! This is her 3rd week of being swollen, stinky and spotting so how much longer do we have? I've found a nice vet that is willing to run her blood work, give her a complete check up & if possible say her this summer. I do remember that she will come in heat again in 6 months if not spayed. Poor girlie wants her regular life back so everyone will leave her bottom alone!
carronstar
Poor girl. My first girl, Scarlett, went into heat on Christmas Eve and it didn't end until Valentine's Day!!!! Back then you had to agree to spay after you adopted. She hated the entire thing!
heartdogs
Noelle is my Whippet foster that has EPI & is a diabetic, this is why she's not spayed yet. It's been hard enough to get the EPI controlled & being a diabetic makes it extra risky to do any surgery. It's just a miracle that she's alive and each day is a true gift.
