Sending lots of good thoughts and white light for you and Kylie. I know how scary this can all be but hang in there. Hopefully the vets will have a dx soon and she will be on her way to recovery. :grouphug

Thanks everyone for your kind words and prayers..I just spoke with the vet and she said they do have her on the doxycycline. They had her out for a brief walk, she's still wobbly and tilting to the left, she thinks that Ky also may be symptomatic of vestibular syndrome on top of whatever else is causing her weakness. Evrything just came on all of a sudden...how can a happy, healthy girl go from playing toys, doing zoomies, eating cookies and snuggling one night and wake up the next like this??? I wish I had some answers, but time will tell.I just don't have a very good feeling about all this.

Oh, Anne! I feel your pain.............I really do! I asked that same question, "how can a happy, healthy girl go from playing toys..................." on February 14! It's so very, very scary when our kids go down like this! Please know that there are so many of us that have been there and are praying just as hard as we can for you and Kylie. Trust the specialist (internist? neurologist?). Some of them are more than a little "gloom and doom", but they are usually very, very good at what they do! It took 3-1/2 days for the Internist we saw to stop talking in "hours" and start talking in "days, weeks". It was all I could do to hold it together, but I knew that Suze needed me to be the strong one. I truly believe that my determination that she was KNOT going to die is part of what pulled her through. Kylie needs you to make her believe that you are going to make it all better!

In the meantime, we are praying, chanting, sending hugs and healing white light in torrents to you and Kylie!

Anne, I am so sorry! Prayers to you and Kylie. It is excellent that they've already put her on doxy -- I know there is a lot of discussion about what an appropriately high dosage is to treat TBDs. That might be worth asking them about or looking into in case that is what it is.

UPDATE *

The vet called me early this morning before transferring her to the internalist. She said she seemed a lot better than yesterday. Her head is no longer at an odd angle, but her platelets were still very low.She still has the rear end weakness, but she was able to get out on her own to pee pee, she also ate really well.I asked what could I expect from the the new vet, she said they will do an ultra sound and run a few more specific tests. Thanks everyone for your thoughts, advice and prayers, you don't know how much they are appreciated. I have never felt more alone and helpless than I did yesterday. I'll let everyone know the minute I hear anything.

I'm sending prayers for you and your precious Kylie. I'm hoping to hear more news soon about her progress and that the new vet can pin it down and help her have a speedy recovery.
