Guest FireHorse
Luke has had a recurring corn on his back left foot, always in the same place on the same toe. We had it hulled several months ago and it hasn't come back. (knock wood-they usually come back in a month or so) I noticed today that he's got a pale spot on his toe, where the corn used to be. It's clearly not a corn-it's the same texture as the rest of his pad, just a different color--but I didn't think corns left scars, either. Does anyone know? Sighthounds4me
I think most traumas to the pads will cause a spot like that. I believe it is just an area where the pigment is lighter, as a result of the trauma. MandysMom
Mandy's paw pads definitely have lighter pigment where she's had recurring corns. Quote Beverly.
