Guest SillyIzzysMom
I noticed last night that my youngish (3.5) grey's eyes reflect green in the outdoor floods, but my old Golden Retriever's (10 yrs) eyes reflected red. Does anyone know--does this indicate that my older dog has some vision issue?
Hubcitypam
I've always heard older dogs eyes reflect back orange, but Dr. Stack said she'd never heard that.
Guest simile
Chloe's eyes reflect back red, but she has amber colored eyes. Tip's eyes are very dark brown and reflect back green. My husky Quiche had blue eyes and they would reflect red, but her mom, Aurora, had brown eyes and they would reflect green. The reflection color never changed throughout their (the huskies') lives, even when Aurora developed age related cataracts.
grey14me
this has nothing to do with greyhounds, but did you know that a female alligator's eyes will reflect back green and a males will reflect back red...or vice versa, I don't remember exactly. but how weird is that!! now, back to greyhounds...
