i just spoke with ember's surgeon and she confirmed the osteo diagnosis via the post amp biopsy. there was a very slim chance that it was a fungal infection, but the chance of that was slim to none, and slim was on his horse riding out of town. sooo...no need to second guess anything, i made the right decision. her chemo should begin next week and life will go on.

Moving forward...only forward!!!

even though the moment she started limping, i knew in my heart what was happening, there was a very tiny part that thought it could have been fungal......there is nowhere to go but forward :-)

At least you have a definite answer as to her diagnosis. With a dx of osteo, it's still a good idea to rule out Valley Fever since VF can sometimes look like osteo.

Hugs to you and Ember and hoping you get to share many, many years together.

Yep, keep moving forward ... you're right, there is no other choice.
