Hi, We're New Here!

So after having our big brindle boy for almost a year (and seeing all the happy multi-grey households on Greytalk!) DH and I decided we might need to chip. We just couldn't resist when we heard that 16 month-old Viola needed a home. Here are some pics:

Silas the day after we brought Miss Viola home... does he look happy or what?

Silas had been fostered for several weeks by a great family before we brought him home, and they did all the hard stuff vis a vis housetraining and the like. Viola is my first experience with a houndie straight from the track, so I'll be posting over in Training and Behavior to ask for a few tips.

Thanks for looking!

:welcome They're both gorgeous! It sounds to me like Viola isn't straight off the track so much as straight from the farm if she's that young. It's more like getting a puppy than anything else at that age. It'll work out!

:welcome from sunny California! Wonderful houndies!!!

She really does act like a puppy — I think that explains most of her behavior (and small bladder size :unsure)

Your hounds are just beautiful! I love Lilac's ears in your siggie...

So glad you joined us here.

Pretty pups and I'll be looking forward to your journey esp. with baby Viola.

I miss having two or more Greyhounds.

We have a little old Whippet girl (Joey Levine) and our darling Greyhound, Anna.

That's it for now anyhow.

I know how much pleasure they can bring.

WELCOME from Southern California.

Silverfish — I adore your siggie pics and quote. Renie's face markings are so distinctive. Also, DH and I have started to quote you, especially while listening to our presidential debates: "the plural of anecdote is not data." :thumbs-up

And Patty, your brindlies are just gorgeous. Is Scout a blue or is that just a trick of the light?

Rita: Toby's soooo cute — such bright eyes! But what's an FSU grad doing living in Gatorsville?!? I thought they didn't allow that sort of thing ;)

Boondog — your hounds look so happy! I just love seeing all the packs in everyone's sigs. Are you in Columbus, OH?
