RobinM
Last year at this exact time, literally the exact week, Polli was limping. She had a full set of xrays which was clear. The report was sent to OSU and they too said everything was clear. Now, one year later out of the blue, it has started. Is this a major coincidence or could it be the weather changing? Remolacha
I was going to suggest weather change. Does she have arthritis? I know mine acts up when the weather changes, but Phoenix doesn't have "normal" weather changes I hope she feels better!
RobinM
The x-ray last year showd nothing, not even arthritis. It took 6 weeks for her limp tp get better. I will wait a bit before I bring her, but I'm not rushing, nor am I waiting 6 weeks. Just weird. TheFullHouse
I'm thinking bursitis? Can greyhound get bursitis? That's something that flares with weather changes. GreyPoopon
The first summer that Betsy was here, she started limping on her right front. The x-rays showed tendinitis in both shoulders, with the left actually being worse. Rest and Metacam helped. But then she started limping again in the fall. In January, it was awful. We restricted her activity and tried Metacam. No improvement. Then we tried prednisone. No improvement. Then a couple of months of therapy (underwater treadmill). Some improvement. By April, she was doing really well. Then, as soon as it got cold again, she was limping. So it took more than a year for me to figure it out, but she is lame when it's cold. She tends not to limp inside, but my house is small so it would be hard to notice in any event. I hope Polli is just reacting to the temperature.
