Guest greyt_learner Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I had out of town guests who unfortunately left us with a flea or two. My female seems pretty unaffected, but my boy is miserable. I had, of course, forgotten to do the frontline thing last month, so that was the first thing I did (they don't do well with advantix). I gave them capstar, washed all the bedding, vacuumed, and sprayed some ares with adams flea and tick. It seemed better for a day or two, but now we're back worse than before. Poor boy has a rash around his privates, bumps around his tail, and is itching all the time. I give him benadryl at night. So, is it safe to have Orkin, or Ace to come and spray the house and hard, or is there a better company out there that user safe but effective products? Thanks. Quote
Guest ss556 Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 We used spray cans from the vet - vacuumed, sprayed, left the house for 2 hrs, back, opened windows and left for 2 more hours. that seemed to help a lot. my boy had many fleas all over and was allergic to the bites. we did everything you did in your post plus the spray. and you can spray your yard w/ stuff from the vet if they go outside and lay in the grass. good luck, it's been a miserable summer for us! Hubcitypam Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I saw Adams yard spray and house bombs yesterday but didn't look at the ingredients. The fleas are driving us crazy too... Quote
