Guest Greyglo
I'd read this in the cancer thread. I'm so very sorry for your loss. She must have been quite something.
Guest brandi007
Thanks very much everyone - Some of these comments made me smile, most made me cry but all of them are so much appreciated. In a world filled with the mentality of "It was just a pet" it's nice to have a community of people who understand that the loss of a beloved pet is a loss of a family member. I sent this to my mum and the rest of the family, I'm sure they feel the same. I'm kind of relived that she finally made it to the bridge, Misha was in such a bad state when she was helped there by my mum - that wasn't the feisty little girl that I grew up with. It's good for her that she's moved onto a better place and sad for us being left with big empty space in our lives, space that she's more than over-filled for the last 13 years. Be healthy and sassy up at the bridge Misha, you deserve it and thanks so much everyone, definitely a warm spot in a sad time.

My blog about grief The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not get over the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same, nor would you want to. ― Elisabeth Kübler-Ross
