Are pork ribs ok for greyhounds? They don't splinter like chicken bones right? And does the size matter? Will she swallow it if it is less than 5 inches long?

Cooked or raw? If cooked, I would definitely say no way.

If raw, maybe - give more than a single bone to reduce the risk of it being swallowed (i.e. two or more bones attached together by meat). And you may like side ribs better than back ribs - they are a bit softer and also less expensive.

Mine eats raw pork ribs and crunches thru the bone no problem. I would not give cooked rib bones, ever... Oh, and like Ola said, the raw ribs I feed are in slabs of three or four ribs so they can't just be swallowed.

Whenever I smoke ribs on the grill, I always save a few raw for the pups. They don't have any problem eating them, and since they're pork, they love 'em!

Well, gee, if they're baby back ribs, you should send them to me!

Seriously, I feed RAW regular pork ribs to Duncan with no problem. Like Ola, I feed the ribs attached to one another. That way, there isn't a chance of choking, but your pup will still get a major teeth flossing getting them apart.

Around here, it is good eats.
