I didn't have grandparents growing up, so I don't have that connection like you had. You are very lucky to have such great memories of him. I can relate, as my grandmother and grandfather also instilled in me a love of dogs from an early age, among other important things they gave me. When I look back on how much they adored each and every breed (and mixed breed) and had such patience and love for all creatures, it makes me even more thankful that you shared how your grandfather influenced you, as well.
