Guest SusanP
I just noticed that Dr. Doug has broken off one of his little front lower teeth. I'll have to have the jagged stump removed. This has happened to two of my other hounds, sometimes with big molars, even. Is this something greyhounds are prone to for some reason? The hardest thing these guys get to chew on are those Booda Bimples and occasional rawhide. Why does this happen to them so much?
Guest BlackandBrindle
As greyhounds are notorious for bad teeth, I'd say that that lends itself to breaking teeth. If the teeth are weakened from poor dental care in early years, genetics, environmental issues, etc... it just makes sense that the teeth would eventually wear down and break off.... at least to me.
