Guest dwolfe711
Yesterday was a double whammy for us - it's hard to believe that our sweet omega boy Duncan has been gone for a year - we miss him every single day - he brought such joy to our lives and was with us far to short of a time - adopted as a return at age almost-9 and gone too soon at just 12. July 2 was also the Bridge day of our very first greyhound girl, Toby - the sweet little girl who started this obession we have with this breed - she came into our lives just before her 2nd birthday - never raced, only trained. She was about as perfect as they get and we were lucky enough to have her with us for over 10 years - she went to the Bridge in 2003 at age 12 after battling hemangiosarcoma for almost two years. She was our first and will be forever in our hearts. It's hard to imagine that since losing Toby in July 2, 2003, we've adopted 8 more - all senior returns but one - and we've lost a total of five (all to cancer!!): Toby, age 12 - 7/2003 Red, age 12.5 - 8/2004 Elaine, age 11.5 - 10/2004 Lizzy, age 14.5 - 1/2007 Duncan, age 12 - 7/2007 At home right now we have: Ripley, age 8 Allie, age 14.5 Ellie, age 9 Apollo, age 12 Run free Duncan and Toby and Red, Elaine, and Lizzy - we will be with you again when the time is right. We miss you so much - Love, Mom and Dad

Greytlady94
Quote Greyhound angels at the bridge- Casey, Charlie, Maggie, Molly, Renie, Lucy & Teddy. Beagle angels Peanut and Charlie. And to all the 4 legged Bridge souls who have touched my heart, thank you. When a greyhound looks into you eyes it seems they touch your very soul.
