Guest gennygrey
With the rising cost of everything, I was wondering if anyone has tried Biospot? I use Frontline Plus right now, but if Biospot works, it would be so much cheaper. Has anyone used Biospot? If so, please provide feedback. Guest Ola
We used it the one and only time my mixed breed picked up a few fleas from a play buddy. After the second application you could tell something was wrong - she was trying to scratch at the application site, rub it off, it's almost like it was itching or burning her skin. This lasted for a couple of days, if I recall correctly, and it slowly got better. I threw the rest of the package out and will never use it again. YMMV
HJsM
I think Biospot has the wrong chemical in it which is permethrins. So, personally, I'd probably stay away from it. Pyrethrins are plant based and ok for Greyhounds (I always have to look that up in Greyhounds for Dummies..which makes it worth every penny I spent on it. Thanks Mrs Livingood!) That's what you need to look for on the shelf. Adams products have Pyrethrins and are mostly affordable. I don't believe they make a spot on, but there are spray and shampoo selections available. P.S. Since I started using Sentinel, I've found that I don't really need the topicals anymore. You can order a variation of this from PetsMegastore AU that is affordable. They sometimes offer free shipping, too. Hubcitypam
Adams does make a spot on but it has permethrins. BTW Advantix (which one of the GH groups here uses/used on their dogs) also contains permethrins. I love Adams spray -- for some weird reason it smells really good to me. I've used Biospot on the Poodlum and some non grey fosters with no reactions but it just flat didn't work.
