Guest BlackandBrindle
Sadie was limping when I came home. Our house is mostly ceramic tile. It's hard in the center. I"m really looking for someone to tell me that it's not a corn and it's just an ouchie. Update Tuesday 6/17 So I've been soaking the paw in epsom salts, applying liberal amounts of bag balm twice daily and the limp is about 90% better. The spot is no longer hard so I'm thinking it was just a bruise. Thank goodness for no corns! MerlinsMum
I don't know. However, Merlin had the same thing a while ago and he's fine now. I, too, was worried about a corn at the time. Hope it's nothing! CaliforniaGreys
Comparing it to the corn my boy has, this doesn't look like a corn Quote Missing my little Misty who took a huge piece of my heart with her on 5/2/09, and Ekko, on 6/28/12 For the sick, the lost, and the homeless
Batmom
It could be a corn starting, or it could be "just" a bruise -- as from a pebble or similar. Might give it a soak in warm epsom salts, 5 minutes a couple times a day, if she'll let you. Guest BlackandBrindle
Thanks, that's what I was thinking, re the epsom salt soak.
lovinggreysslp
If its the light spot and its raised then I would say it looks like Train's corn. The epsom salt soaks are great. I took burpdog's advice and used my thumb nail to work the center of the corn out. One of my hounds had his corn removed by our vet using a dental instrument. Best of luck. ShantisMom
Don't know about corns, but we will think good thoughts. Limping dogs just make us all nervous. Quote The Girls
